While the AIARE 1 Avalanche course touches on Avalanche Rescue, a separate Avalanche Rescue course that focuses on avalanche rescue is highly recommended for everyone going out into the backcountry and is a requirement to take the AIARE Level 2. This course is an 8 Hour hands-on course.
